Welcome to the 2022-23 School Year! I hope we have a wonderfully, engaging school year! I use this blog to share many things with you: homework, handouts, rubrics, and resources. I created this blog BEFORE Schoology so there are many resources here that may not be on Schoology. There are resources in Schoology that are not here. Be nimble, flexible and use tools to increase communication and most importantly understanding of the content. Let's get it y'all! Your Teacher, Ms. Guy

Expository Composition Period 5 Homework
1. Find and read ANOTHER Research Article from the Digital Library on your topic. Download and also complete another Research SOAPS Analysis. This is due by Monday afternoon 12 noon.
2. Read this excerpt of juxtaposition from A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens: It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way--in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.
Then, rewrite your own version in which you juxtapose two opposite/opposing people, ideas, family members, concepts, etc! Have fun with it!
Juxtaposition
