1. If you did not complete a SOAPS on "The Ways We Lie" do so. You may view a SOAPS underneath Handouts and Readings and write on your own paper.
2. Create two level two questions and one level 3 questions.
3. Think about the lies outlined in the essay: Deflecting; Omission; The White Lie; Facades; Outright Lies; Dismissal; Stereotypes and Cliches; Groupthink; and Delusion. For each of these lies, think of a literary character from a novel or play that you have read that commits one of these lies or falls victim to it. Include the name of the character and the text in your response. You must have 9 examples.
4. Write the 1 1/2 page reflection about Why we Lie; especially to ourselves.
