1. Continue to browse for about 10-12 minutes to settle on a book length NON-FICTION text. I have the following in the class: Fast Food Nation, Nickeled and Dimed; Why We Love; Misadventures of Akward Black Girl; A Boy Should Know How To Tie a Tie; and The Kapernick Effect. You may choose another text from your list and with the first round, we will be reading as a GROUP! That means, you will work with a group.
2. Article of The Week: This week's article of the week is a whole class article: The Ways We Lie by Stephanie Ericcson. The article is an example of Exemplification. After reading, upload your SOAPS Analysis in Schoology. Remember, assignments lock close after the period ends to ensure you are using your class time to work on the assignment and not work for another class or subject!
