H. English Ten Period 5
Carefully read and annotate the second part of "Civil Disobedience" Then on the back of your 4 Square sheet; do the same for the end of the text. Specifically:

On Monday, be sure to have the responses to questions: 2,4 and 11 that were originally assigned on Thursday. Also, be sure to review what you learned about the female characters whom Sybil is compared to.

1. Be sure to review Claudette Colvert. Also, begin to select an important (historical) figure who took a stand. The figure must have taken a specific stand against something unjust. Their stance must have been uncomfortable, and they nevertheless made it.

2. Derrick Harper succesfully graduates from Howard undergrad and Howard law school. (Howard is a Historically Black Institution). Discuss his significance as a character? Why does our author have Derrick go to a minority institution and is still successful? What message is being communicated?
