Expository Composition period 1: The Souls of Black Folk Chapter 1

Finish reading Chapter 1 of The Souls of Black Folk Link to PDF. Finish the response you had to the first quote that resonated with you by responding. Since we are all minorities, please go in depth abut feelings, connections, realizations and questions. Then, select one more quote--write enough up it down in your journal and also respond. DO NOT WAIT TILL WEDNESDAY NIGHT!
2. Think of the socially conscious artist you identified in class (author, artist, etc). You may need to listen to their song or see a picture of their artwork again to refresh your memory. Then write a response of at least a paragraph in which you identify similarities between their art--song, novel, etc and some idea found in W.E.B. Chapter 1.  Do not use pronouns-- they, she, he, it in your first two sentences or you will receive an automatic "F"
