1. Carefully, read, annotate and re-read the AP student essay on the poem, "For he Looked Not Upon Her" distributed on Friday. Mark literary terms, notice the verbs the student uses. The outline the essay:
how does the student begin the essay? What is their thesis and where is it? Count how many times the student refers to the poem? How many quotes are there? This essay is a solid essay, YET it is somewhat formulaic. Identify the formula or outline/pattern that the student followed in their essay.
